HAKKIMIZDA
Bölümümüz, “Kamu Yönetimi” adıyla ilk kez 2009 yıllında öğrenci almış olup 2014 yılı itibariyle Siyaset Bilimi ve Kamu Yönetimi adıyla eğitim öğretim hayatına devam etmektedir. Kurulduğu günden bu yana siyaset bilimi, kamu yönetimi, hukuk, yönetim bilimleri ve kent-çevre politikaları alanlarında nitelikli eğitim ve araştırma faaliyetleri yürütmektedir. Bölümümüz, Türkiye’nin toplumsal, siyasal ve ekonomik dönüşümlerine ışık tutan özgün çalışmalarıyla öne çıkmakta; hem ulusal düzeyde hem de uluslararası akademik camiada saygın bir konuma ulaşmayı hedeflemektedir.
Bölümümüzde 2025 itibariyle 3 profesör, 5 doçent, 5 doktor öğretim üyesi ve 4 araştırma görevlisi görev yapmakta olup, akademik kadromuz genç ve dinamik yapısıyla öğrencilere araştırmacı, eleştirel ve yenilikçi bir öğrenme ortamı sunmaktadır. Öğretim elemanlarımız yalnızca eğitim faaliyetlerinde değil, aynı zamanda kamu kurumları, yerel yönetimler, sivil toplum kuruluşları ve özel sektör ile iş birliği içinde çeşitli toplumsal projeler yürütmektedir.
Misyonumuz, bilimsel ilkeleri temel alan, siyasal, yönetsel ve ekonomik sorunlara duyarlı; kamusal ve mesleki etiğe sahip akademik kadromuzla toplumsal ihtiyaçlara yönelik özgün çözümler geliştiren araştırmalar yapmak ve kamu sektörü başta olmak üzere özel sektör ve sivil toplum kuruluşlarında görev alabilecek, eleştirel düşünen, yenilikçi ve yaratıcı bireyler yetiştirmektir.
Vizyonumuz ise toplumun ortak yararını, demokratik katılımı ve sosyal adaleti esas alan bir kamu yönetimi anlayışının yerleşmesine katkı sunan; eleştirel düşünceye, etik değerlere ve kamusal sorumluluğa sahip bireyler yetiştiren; ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde toplumsal fayda üreten saygın ve özgün bilimsel çalışmalar gerçekleştiren bir bölüm olmaktır.
Bölümümüz, öğrencilerini yalnızca teorik bilgiyle değil; uygulamaya dönük dersler, proje çalışmaları ve staj imkanları ile de destekleyerek çağın gereklerine uygun donanımlarla mezun etmektedir.
ABOUT US
Our department admitted its first students in 2009 under the name “Public Administration”, and since 2014 it has continued its academic activities under the name Political Science and Public Administration.
Since its establishment, the department has been carrying out qualified educational and research activities in the fields of political science, public administration, law, administrative sciences, and urban-environmental policies. With its original studies shedding light on Türkiye’s social, political, and economic transformations, the department has distinguished itself and aims to achieve a reputable position both at the national level and within the international academic community.
As of 2025, our department has 3 Professors, 5 Associate Professors, 5 Assistant Professors, and 4 Research Assistants. With its young and dynamic academic staff, the department provides students with a research-oriented, critical, and innovative learning environment. In addition to educational activities, our faculty members carry out various social projects in cooperation with public institutions, local governments, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector.
Our Mission is to conduct research that develops original solutions to social needs with an academic staff that is sensitive to political, administrative, and economic issues, based on scientific principles and equipped with public and professional ethics; and to educate individuals who can work in the public sector, as well as in the private sector and civil society organizations, as critical thinkers who are innovative and creative.
Our Vision is to contribute to the establishment of a public administration approach based on the common good, democratic participation, and social justice; to educate individuals with critical thinking, ethical values, and public responsibility; and to carry out respected and original scientific studies that produce social benefit at both the national and international levels.
Our department not only equips students with theoretical knowledge but also supports them with practice-oriented courses, project work, and internship opportunities, ensuring that graduates possess the competencies required to meet the demands of the contemporary world.
